Mayer Brown advises Klesch Group on financing of Gelsenkirchen refinery acquisition

London/Frankfurt – Mayer Brown advised longtime firm client Klesch Group (“Klesch”) on the financing aspects of its acquisition of the Gelsenkirchen refinery in Germany, which completed at midnight 31 July. 

For the past 15 years, Mayer Brown has advised Klesch on the acquisition and financing of its Heide refinery in northern Germany and Kalundborg refinery in Denmark, as well as on several arbitration matters, reflecting the firm’s longstanding relationship with the client in the energy and natural resources sector.
