Mayer Brown advises Lange-HANSA-Holding and ULM Management on the sale of HANSA-HEEMANN to Refresco

Mayer Brown has advised Lange-HANSA-Holding GmbH and ULM Management GmbH on the sale of all shares in HANSA-HEEMANN AG to Refresco. The transaction is subject to approval by the antitrust authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

HANSA-Heemann AG, which was previously family-owned, is one of the leading suppliers of mineral water and soft drinks in Germany. HANSA-Heemann has around 850 employees at six sites and serves three different market segments: private label, own brands and contract manufacturing. In addition to the production and sale of well-known brands such as Hella, Fürst Bismarck and St. Michaelis, HANSA-HEEMANN undertakes contract filling, for example for Aldi. With around 1.7 billion bottles produced in 2020, HANSA HEEMANN achieved according to own statements most recently annual sales of around 300 million Euro.

Refresco with headquarter in Rotterdam is the world's largest independent beverage bottler of soft drinks and fruit juices for retail and has according to own statements annual sales of four billion Euro.
