Dylan obtained his doctoral degree from KU Leuven (Belgium) in 2016, upon defending his dissertation entitled "Accession to the World Trade Organization: A Legal and Normative Analysis". His research focuses on the legal aspects of the accession process to the World Trade Organization (WTO). He has also worked at the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Economic Affairs of The Kingdom of The Netherlands as a trade policy advisor.
Prior to re-joining Mayer Brown in 2016, Dylan served as a legal intern with the Appellate Body Secretariat of the WTO in Geneva. He advises companies and governments on international and EU trade matters including trade defence proceedings, international trade agreements, WTO law and export control and sanctions.Dylan is fluent in English and German in addition to his native Dutch.
