London – Mayer Brown has advised European funeral services and infrastructure provider Funecap Group (“Funecap”) on its acquisition of the pet crematoria business from UK listed veterinary group CVS.

Acquisition

The acquisition was for a cash consideration of £42.4m. Funecap made the acquisition through Anima Care UK Limited, a UK registered subsidiary of Anima Care Holding, the parent company of the pet aftercare division of Funecap. Mayer Brown also advised Funecap in relation to ongoing arrangements for the business to continue to provide clinical waste disposal and cremation services to CVS practices and clients following completion.
