Overview
Dr. Jürgen Streng is a counsel in the Düsseldorf office of Mayer Brown’s Real Estate practice. He advises in all fields of civil law regarding the real estate sector. Jürgen represents national and international clients as well as real estate companies which are willing to invest in German real estate or own German real estate. His focus is on transactions, project development and hotels. In addition, Jürgen offers consulting services in the energy sector, primarily in plant production. Furthermore, he is a member of the international Hospitality & Leisure group.
Jürgen joined Mayer Brown in 2006. Previously (2000–2005), he was associated with another prominent law firm in Düsseldorf. He is fluent in German (native speaker), proficient in English and Spanish and has got basic knowledge of the Russian language.

- Advising Hydro on the acquisition of Hueck group and its building systems and extrusions business.
- Advising Goodyear beim Erwerb von Reifen Burkhardt.
- Advising on the purchase of food retail markets in Mühlheim, Nürnberg and Chemnitz.
- Representing Prologis on the acquisition of a nearly 3.6-hectares-plant area from Suez in Herne, Germany.
- Representing international investors in the acquisition, disposal and financing of real estate portfolios (residential and commercial).
- Representing national and international real estate developers, development of real estate in Germany including special asset classes (designer outlet center, shopping centers and hotels).
- Representing international investors in the purchase of “Energy-Projects” (refinery, wind park, solar park).
- Representing an international chemical company in connection with the construction and financing of a cogeneration power plant.
