Overview

Anzhen Chng is a senior associate in the Corporate & Securities practice in Mayer Brown's Singapore office.

Anzhen’s practice focuses on cross-border corporate transactions across Asia Pacific. He has experience acting for multinational corporations, financial institutions and private equity and venture capital funds on a wide range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital investments and corporate restructurings.

Experience

Advised Averna Capital and its portfolio company Study International on the acquisition of Sun Education Group, Indonesia's largest study abroad agency and one of the leading overseas education consultancies in Southeast Asia, providing consultancy services to students looking to study overseas.
Advised on the sale of a Norwegian pioneering solar energy company, with an operational headquarter in Singapore and other regional hubs in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific, to an Indian multinational conglomerate.
Advised an American multinational beverage manufacturer in respect of the sale of its bottling businesses in Southeast Asia.
Advised a US private equity firm based in Florida on the acquisition of a leading engine products and drive systems supplier for the automotive industries.

Advised a US private equity firm based in Connecticut on its proposed acquisition of an international strategic Blockchain communications consultancy.
Advised a US private equity sponsor based in Rhode Island on its proposed acquisition of a market leading supply chain solutions and safety services business.
Advised an American global food corporation on its acquisition of the first Singaporean-owned chocolate manufacturer.
Advised a private real estate fund managed by an American multinational investment management corporation in relation to the acquisition of several commercial properties in Singapore.
Advised on the sale of a fast-food franchise in Thailand to a SET-listed company.
Advised an American based global alternative investment adviser (together with other consortium owners) on a portfolio company’s proposed IPO (ASX) exit from one of Australia’s largest consumer lenders.
