Düsseldorf/Frankfurt am Main - Mayer Brown has advised Prologis, a global leader in logistics real estate, on the acquisition of a nearly 3.6-hectares-plant area in Herne, Germany from Suez. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Following the shut-down of the Suez unit in Herne, previously used for thermal treatment of polluted soils and materials, the purchase was signed. Prologis, headquartered in California, is active in the logistics real estate business globally. The German headquarter is located in Düsseldorf.
Prologis is a longtime client of Mayer Brown. The team regularly advises Prologis on legal issues related to the acquisition and sale of real estate assets.
The team advising on this acquisition was led by Real Estate counsel Dr. Jürgen Streng (Düsseldorf) and supported by Tax Transactions & Consulting counsel Susan Günther (Frankfurt).
