Tamar Ruiz is an Australian-qualified associate in the Tax team at Mayer Brown’s London office. She joined Mayer Brown in October 2022 after having qualified and practiced at a leading Australian law firm in their Sydney office.
Tamar has advised on a wide array of tax issues, including in relation to public and private mergers and acquisitions, group reorganisations and restructures, financing transactions, employee share schemes and fund investments. Tamar also has experience advising on cross-border arrangements including transfer pricing and intangibles arrangements. The clients she has advised are diverse and from a broad spectrum of industries, such as banking and finance, technology, real estate, energy & resources, infrastructure and funds management.
Tamar has also been actively involved in pro bono initiatives while practising as a solicitor, including advising charities and not-for-profits on tax-related queries and participating in the Homeless Person’s Legal Service.
