New Career Opportunities for Staff Attorneys in our Charlotte Office

Mayer Brown LLP is a global legal services firm advising clients across the Americas, Asia and Europe. To support the Firm’s traditional resources for delivering legal services, Mayer Brown LLP is creating a new Staff Attorney Hub in its Charlotte, North Carolina office to provide both transactional and litigation legal services for the Firm’s clients. Real Estate

Corporate M & A

Building on at least two years of general M & A experience at a law firm, the Staff Attorney will be joining a market-leading practice within Mayer Brown’s global M & A group. In this role, the Staff Attorney will be an integral part of our Transactional Liabilities Insurance Practice, which represents insurers in issuing representation and warranties insurance in connection with M & A deals. This position offers a unique opportunity for exposure to an exceptional volume and diversity of M & A transactions. The Staff Attorney will work as an active team member alongside seasoned M & A partners and have access to grow his/her M & A skill set. Hours will be less intense than big law generally, although work will periodically involve longer hours that can be worked flexibly.

Business Immigration

Mayer Brown, a preeminent global law firm, seeks business immigration staff attorneys to form part of our proprietary 10X Mobility Program, a state of the art program for major companies to manage their worldwide immigration and mobile work force needs. The 10X docket for the Business Immigration Staff Attorneys will include development, tracking, reporting, and monitoring of US business immigration filings, in financial services, consulting, manufacturing, IT, infrastructure, chemicals, energy, defense, and life sciences. Visa categories will include: H-1B, L-1A and L-1B, TN, O-1, PERM, I-140, and Adjustment of Status, and are customized for each key client.

Mayer Brown seeks experienced business immigration attorneys who are committed to and take pride in achieving premier quality . Candidates must have proven experience managing high volumes of filings with precision, accuracy, and agility. Experience with immigration case management technology systems and other IT tools is required. References should attest to excellence in all work product and communications, a high work ethic and consistent productivity, reliability and accessibility, and the candidate’s ability to work well as part of an integrated, communicative team. Early warning of complex issues or challenges is an important part of the position, requiring candidates to be effective at keeping partners and supervising associates informed at all stages of delivery.
