Josh Haig acts for a wide range of clients including insolvency officeholders, directors, debtors, creditors and financial institutions on both contentious and non-contentious restructurings and insolvencies.  

Josh previously spent six months on secondment at a leading FTSE 100 company, primarily supporting its venture capital arm.

Erfahrung

  • Acting for Samsung Engineering and Saipem in their challenge to restructuring plans proposed by their joint venture partner Petrofac, resulting in success in the Court of Appeal overturning the sanction at first instance.
  • Advising Capricorn Energy plc in relation to all aspects of the debt restructuring of the Waldorf Production UK plc, which included successfully challenging Waldorf’s restructuring plan in the High Court.  
  • Advising a leading global insurer in relation to the transfer of certain of its insurance and reinsurance portfolios in accordance with Part 7 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
  • Advising the joint liquidators of an engineering and construction company, which went into insolvent liquidation with debts totalling over US$2 billion, in all aspects of the liquidation and in litigation against former directors, officers, and shareholders, and asset recovery strategy in multiple jurisdictions.
