Paris – Mayer Brown announced today that Caroline Texier has joined the firm as a partner in its Restructuring & Insolvency practice in Paris, enhancing the firm's restructuring capability in France and across its international platform.

Caroline brings more than 20 years of experience advising companies, shareholders, private equity sponsors, debt investors, and creditors in complex distressed situations. Her practice encompasses the full spectrum of restructuring and insolvency matters, including out-of-court restructurings, conciliation proceedings, safeguard proceedings, judicial reorganisations, distressed M&A transactions, and insolvency-related litigation. She advises both debtors and creditors across a broad range of sectors, including industrials, energy, real estate, retail, and biotechnology, with a particular focus on LBO and private credit restructurings. Her client base spans debtors, investment funds, and private credit providers, reflecting the growing role of private capital in European restructurings.

Caroline is admitted to practice in France and New York. She joins from Paul Hastings, where she headed the Restructuring practice in Paris. Before that she led restructuring teams at DLA Piper and Gide Loyrette Nouel.

Jean-Philippe Lambert, Paris Managing Partner, commented: "Caroline is a standout hire for our Paris office. Her deep expertise in restructuring and insolvency, combined with her established relationships across private equity sponsors, debt funds, and creditor groups, means clients benefit from an adviser who understands every side of the table in a distressed situation. We are delighted to welcome her to Mayer Brown."

Michael Fiddy, Co-Leader of Restructuring, said: "As refinancing pressures mount and private credit restructurings accelerate across Europe, clients need advisers who can navigate complex, multi-jurisdictional situations seamlessly. Caroline's appointment allows the firm to offer an even stronger integrated Paris–London–US restructuring capability, advising debtors, creditors, and sponsors through LBO workouts, real estate distress, and cross-border mandates in a single, coordinated platform. That's a material difference for clients managing exposure across European markets, and it's exactly where we see the greatest demand."

Matthew Wargin, Co-Leader of Restructuring, commented: "Caroline is an outstanding addition to our global restructuring team. She brings deep experience in France and a strong transatlantic perspective that further strengths our ability to work seamlessly across key restructuring markets. We are very excited to welcome her to the team."

Joaquin C De Baca, Co-leader of Restructuring, said: "Caroline's arrival continues our momentum in building our restructuring platform internationally, following Rich Steiglitz joining us in New York last year. Her depth of expertise across sectors from industrials and energy to real estate and biotechnology makes her an outstanding addition to the team."

Caroline commented: "Mayer Brown's international platform and its strong Paris office provide an excellent foundation for my practice. A significant number of French restructurings involve London-based lenders and creditors, and the firm's established restructuring capabilities in London and the US create substantial opportunities for cross-border collaboration. I look forward to working with the team."
