Mayer Brown strengthens Public Policy, Regulatory & Government Affairs practice with Andrew Hartlage in Washington DC

WASHINGTON DC – Mayer Brown announced today that Andrew Hartlage has joined the firm as a partner in its Public Policy, Regulatory & Government Affairs practice in Washington DC. Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Andrew served as senior special counsel in the Legal Division of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and most recently was detailed to the staff of the House Financial Services Committee.

Andrew brings more than 13 years of experience in financial services policy. He was the Federal Reserve's primary expert on a wide range of banking regulatory and supervisory matters and regularly advised Federal Reserve governors and senior staff on complex policy issues including capital regulation, activities permissibility, mergers and acquisitions, resolution planning, and insurance supervision. During his tenure at the Federal Reserve, he also built relationships with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the US Department of Treasury. Most recently, he served on detail to the staff of the House Financial Services Committee, where he advised members of Congress and staff on important financial services legislation and hearings.
