Alexander G. Davis

Alexander G. Davis is a partner in Mayer Brown's Los Angeles office and a member of the Real Estate Markets practice. Alex represents private equity fund sponsors, REIT sponsors and other institutional investors in complex commercial real estate transactions, with particular depth in structuring development-oriented joint ventures, programmatic equity partnerships, co-investment arrangements, and complex acquisitions and dispositions. He regularly advises on the negotiation of mortgage and mezzanine financings that support sponsor-led capital deployment strategies.

• Represented multiple major private equity fund sponsors in connection with individual and programmatic joint venture equity investments, and related construction financing, for industrial, multi-family and single-family build-to-rent real estate development projects located throughout the United States.
• Represented a major publicly traded REIT in connection with complex life science campus assemblages and disassemblages.
• Represented private credit lenders in connection with debt and preferred equity financing across a variety of asset classes, including multiple luxury coastal high-rise condominium project financings.
• Represented a major national hotel developer and operator in connection with a complex multi-series, cross-border corporate bond issuance.
• Represented a private investment firm in connection with multiple multi-state sale-leaseback portfolio mortgage and mezzanine financings.
• Represented a life insurance company lender in connection with construction and take-out financing for multi-family housing developments.
