Real Life: Virtually Bring Your Pet to Work Lunch – Mayer Brown Northern California Edition

分享

At Mayer Brown in Northern California, we miss seeing our colleagues in the office.   One way we’ve been keeping up our sense of community, and sharing stories and laughs with each other, is by getting together for regular virtual lunches.

Last week, the whole office, lawyers and staff, got together for a Bring Your Pet (Virtually) to Work lunch.  Special guests that included Gray’s blood python, Red, and his bearded dragon, Sushi.  (As you’ll see, Red played to the crowd, acting up to the delight of David’s son Owen and Peter’s son Mason.)  Elspeth brought her cat, The Imp (the “T” is always capitalized), Mary brought Mochi and Ninja and Joy brought Joplin (as in Janice).

Some of our colleagues (Meicy and Steffany) brought their beloved stuffed animals.  Whitney moved to MB NorCal from our New York office not long before social distancing began.  So Whitney’s Pomeranian Cheechie, who is still with her mom in New York, had to phone in as well.

Since Whitney and Cheechie may be separated for a while, Whitney was glad to learn from Paul (and his dog Lucca) about Muttville, an adoption agency for older dogs in the Bay Area.  Paul adopted Lucca from Muttville a year ago and he’s been volunteering there himself once a week:  https://muttville.org/

Cliff’s wife, Barb, had to hold the family parrot Bailey because Cliff and his parrot are not on speaking terms at the moment.  Glad to report that the rest of us very much are.
