David Bakst is a partner in Mayer Brown's Corporate & Securities practice specializing in Capital Markets. His practice focuses on a wide variety of public and private securities offerings ranging from large New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ listed IPOs and multibillion-dollar debt offerings to private placements. David focuses on debt and equity capital markets with a particular concentration on securities offerings involving non-US issuers. David has extensive international experience and has led securities offerings for a number of the largest companies in Latin America, Asia and Europe. He advises clients from a broad range of industries, including financial services, healthcare, energy, telecommunications and technology.
David practiced corporate and securities law for another prominent international law firm in New York and Hong Kong for nine years. From 2000 until 2004, he was an investment banker for Lehman Brothers in Hong Kong where he was a senior vice president focused on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions throughout Asia.
