Chris Roberts is a counsel in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice of the London office. He is a member of Mayer Brown’s “first-rate” Corporate Crime team and acts for clients on internal and criminal investigations, including those brought by prosecutors such as the UK Serious Fraud Office and the US Department of Justice. He also advises clients in respect of their policies and procedures relating to the UK Bribery Act 2010 and the UK Criminal Finances Act 2017.

Chris has a background in financial services disputes, and is an experienced litigator who has represented clients in complex multi-party and multi-jurisdictional litigation, as well as in arbitration and mediation. He is experienced in managing cases from pre-action through to trial and enforcement. In addition to acting for banks and other financial institutions, Chris has experience of acting for a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial clients – from nation states to international franchises, from pension funds to airlines.

Chris has also worked in-house following secondments to the litigation teams of three separate financial institutions.

Chris is a member of the Commercial Fraud Lawyers’ Association and the Young Fraud Lawyers’ Association.
