Mayer Brown advises on sale of 192-bedroom London hotel to Dalata Hotel Group plc

London - Mayer Brown has advised the developer of a major new hotel in Finsbury Park, London N7 on the sale of the property to Dalata Hotel Group plc, Ireland’s largest hotel group.

Dalata acquired the property for £44.3 million.  The newly-finished hotel consists of 192 bedrooms and will be Dalata’s first Maldron hotel in London.  The hotel is located within walking distance of the Emirates Stadium, and adjacent to Finsbury Park Station.  

The hotel was constructed by Tide Construction Limited and built using their volumetric system, a sustainable construction method that can deliver significant reductions in embodied carbon emissions and is ahead of RIBA and LETI 2025 and 2030 industry benchmarks. The hotel has already attained a Building Energy Ratings (BER) A certificate and is expected to receive BREEAM Excellent accreditation.

The Mayer Brown team was led by Head of UK Real Estate partner Chris Harvey, assisted by associate Hollie Norman and  senior associate Tim Collier from the Real Estate practice.
