Overview
Henderik advises both financial institutions and borrowers on a wide range of domestic and international financings. He has extensive experience in advising on a range of international banking and finance matters including asset-based lending, receivables finance, structured trade and commodities finance and other areas of general banking and finance. In addition, Henderik has experience in relation to the development and financing of power generation projects as well as ECA supported financing transactions.
Henderik has also spent time on secondment with the global trade finance and receivables team of a major global bank where he worked closely with the business teams on their global trade finance and receivables business.Experience
Trade finance
- Advised the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office of the United Kingdom in relation to its participation in ADB's Innovative Finance Facility for Climate in Asia and the Pacific.*
- Advised a leading Australian bank in relation to its USD1.5 billion advance payment and supply facility to a UAE subsidiary of a leading Indian conglomerate and the concurrent distribution to a syndicate of banks.*
- Advised the trading arm of a leading UAE bank in relation to a USD150 million term supply agreement to an Indian multinational mining and natural resources company and the subsequent distribution to a syndicate of banks.*
- Advised a Singapore branch of a major international bank in relation to a USD127m limited recourse prepayment financing to a Singapore incorporated commodity trader.*
- Advised the Singapore branch of a leading Japanese bank in relation to its USD200m syndicated receivables purchase programme (with an accordion option) to a Malaysian project company of a Singapore-based petrochemicals, green energy and natural resources conglomerate.*
