Jason Sito is a counsel in the Real Estate group in Mayer Brown’s Charlotte office. Jason represents institutional lenders and borrowers in a variety of secured and unsecured debt financing transactions and various institutional clients in leases, acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate. Jason also represents institutional lenders and special servicers in loan workouts and restructurings, foreclosures and short sales of various real estate assets. His representation has involved a broad range of loan transactions, including construction, permanent and bridge financings, syndicated and participated credit facilities, senior and mezzanine financings, structured finance and CMBS transactions and multi-property and multi-state financings. The real estate assets involved in such transactions have included office buildings, resort and casino properties, shopping centers, single and multifamily developments and condominiums. Jason also has experience in private equity financings, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.

Represented national bank in the restructure and foreclosure of $200+ million in loans to a national homebuilder secured by single-family developments located in multiple states.
Represented national bank in the workout and foreclosure of a sharia-compliant loan secured by a single-family golf course development.
Represented insurance company in the construction financing and permanent financing of multiple buildings located on the North Carolina Research Campus.
Represented REIT in the secured financing of a prominent mixed use shopping center and condominium located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
