Overview
Don Irwin is an associate in Mayer Brown's New York office and a member of the Corporate & Securities practice.
In the digital asset space, Don has worked with clients to identify and address legal hurdles in the use of blockchain for payments rails, navigate and structure the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA), and strategize and develop responses to US bank regulatory developments in digital asset custody.
While in law school, Don worked in the chambers of the Hon. Eric N. Vitaliano of the Eastern District of New York and served as a Student Honors Intern in the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). He received a CUBE Innovator's Invitational award for legal tech innovation through his research and development of legal solutions for NFT artists and creators.
Prior to law school, Don worked in the chief legal office of a leading alternative asset manager and as a paralegal in the Frankfurt, Germany office of a prominent international firm.
