Pavlina Chopova-Leprêtre is an associate in the Brussels office of Mayer Brown’s EU Regulatory practice. She focuses her practice on food and drugs, food contact materials, cosmetics, and biocides, chemicals, pesticides, waste and medical devices. She also has particular experience in more "horizontal" EU matters, such as general product safety, liability for defective products, practical implementation of the mutual recognition principle to facilitate the free movement of goods in the EU, etc.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Pavlina spent more than five years as an associate in two international regulatory law firms, where she focused on legislation and issues relating to food and feed contaminants; food additives, enzymes, flavourings and processing aids; food contact materials and packaging; GMOs; health claims; food and nutrition labelling; biocides and other chemicals used in food processing.
Pavlina is fluent in English and French in addition to her native Bulgarian.
