Ivan Baranenko is an associate in Mayer Brown's Public Policy, Regulatory & Political Law and International Trade practices in Brussels. He advises clients on a wide range of issues in the field of international trade, with focus on trade remedies (including anti-dumping, anti-subsidy, and safeguard investigations), WTO law, customs rules, and sanctions. He is also active in representing clients in Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries with respect to trade defence investigations, market access and government trade policy issues.

Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Ivan worked for a top-tier law firm in Kyiv (Ukraine), where he obtained extensive experience in international trade law. Ivan is qualified to practice law in Ukraine and is admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.

Ivan is fluent in English in addition to his native Russian and Ukrainian.
