Utah Business selects five Mayer Brown partners for its 2026 Legal Elite list
SALT LAKE CITY – Five Mayer Brown lawyers have been named by Utah Business as Utah's 2026 Legal Elite, an annual distinction honoring leading lawyers for their legal work, trusted counsel, and contributions to the profession and community.
The Mayer Brown lawyers recognized in the 2026 rankings are:
• Mark Hindley, a partner in Mayer Brown's Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, represents clients in complex commercial disputes involving contracts, securities and corporate fraud, trademarks, land use, mass torts, and natural resources matters.
• Michael Menssen, a partner in Mayer Brown's Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, represents clients in complex trials and appeals, including commercial litigation, class actions, ERISA disputes, employment matters, trade secrets, employment matters, and other high-stakes business disputes. He is also heavily involved in the community, including with civil legal aid organizations such as “and Justice for all.”
• Matthew Moscon, a partner in Mayer Brown's Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, is a nationally recognized trial lawyer who represents clients in complex business disputes and is widely recognized for his courtroom advocacy and success in high-stakes litigation.
• Lauren Shurman, a partner in Mayer Brown's Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice and Employment & Benefits group, advises employers on employment law compliance, represents businesses in complex commercial and employment litigation, and counsels clients on employment-related aspects of corporate transactions.
• Scott Young, a partner in Mayer Brown's Corporate & Securities practice, counsels clients on technology transactions, commercial contracting, software and technology licensing, and strategic corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and venture capital financings.
