London — Mayer Brown has strengthened its private equity practice in London with the hires of Tarun Patel and Electra Callan as counsel. Tarun and Electra will join the firm from Ropes & Gray.

Tarun has a range of domestic and cross-border experience in private equity and corporate advisory work. He acts for sponsors, funds, corporates and management teams on buy and sell side transactions, minority investments and joint ventures.
Electra acts for private equity investors, portfolio companies and management teams on both domestic and international investments, acquisitions, divestments and corporate restructurings. In addition, she has a successful track record of building strong relationships with management teams and portfolio companies during the lifecycle of PE ownership.
