Linda Shi is a Litigation & Dispute Resolution associate in Mayer Brown's Chicago office. Linda represents national and multinational corporations in complex federal white collar and regulatory defense and internal investigations, as well as in complex litigation in federal and state courts.

Linda’s white collar and investigations experience spans a wide range of industries and subject areas. She has represented corporate and individual clients in investigations led by the US Department of Justice, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the US Department of the Treasury, and state attorneys general. These investigations have involved a range of substantive areas, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the False Claims Act, fraud, sanctions, and consumer protection.

Linda’s civil litigation experience focuses on environmental tort matters, and post-acquisition and business disputes. Linda has significant experience advising clients at all phases of litigation, including initial fact investigation in advance of litigation, briefing and arguing dispositive motions, discovery, defending and deposing fact and expert witnesses, and representing clients at trial.

Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Linda clerked for Chief Judge Mary Beck Briscoe of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Linda received her JD with Honors from The University of Chicago Law School, where she served as the Book Review and Essays Editor of The University of Chicago Law Review. While in law school, Linda interned with the United States Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, and she was a research assistant for Judge Richard Posner and Professor William Landes. Before attending law school, Linda worked as an economic consultant supporting experts in litigation. Linda received her BA cum laude from Yale University.

Linda is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
