Daniel represents a diverse client base, including institutional and non-institutional investors, guiding them through the full spectrum of real estate and real estate finance matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, development, mortgage and mezzanine financing (on behalf of lenders and borrowers), preferred equity arrangements, workouts, restructuring transactions, joint venture formations, asset management, and leasing matters. He advises on transactions across all major asset classes nationwide.

Daniel has represented:
- An opportunity fund in the ground-up development of four mixed-use residential buildings in Oakland, CA and Berkeley, CA.
- A family office in the origination of a mezzanine loan and preferred equity investment for the conversion of a Manhattan luxury apartment building into condominiums.
- A multifamily operator in the portfolio acquisition and preservation of 13 affordable housing complexes in Oregon and New Mexico for a purchase price of approximately $400 million.
- A university in the development of a $620 million mixed-use project in Sacramento, CA, including the negotiation of long-term ground leases, space leases, parking, and shared areas agreements.
- Tenants in office leases throughout the country, including the representation of several high-growth technology and AI companies in the build-out of their laboratory and manufacturing spaces in California.
