Francisco Mastropietro is a senior associate in the Litigation & Arbitration practice at Tauil & Chequer Advogados associated with Mayer Brown, in the Rio de Janeiro office. With a focus on Civil Law and Corporate Law, he has extensive experience in arbitral and judicial disputes involving various industries, particularly construction and energy sectors, as well as disputes arising from associative contracts and M&A transactions. He has experience in domestic and international arbitrations conducted before the main arbitration chambers in Brazil and worldwide, including ICC, LCIA, CAM/CCBC, and CMA/FIESP. In 2022, Francisco joined Mayer Brown LLP in London, in the international arbitration practice.

In addition, Francisco also has broad experience in infrastructure project finance, as well as structuring operations for fundraising from financial institutions by private operators in Brazil.

Prior to joining Tauil & Chequer, he was legal trainee in the litigation practice at Machado, Meyer, Sendacz and Opice Advogados (2011) and in the real estate practice at Pinheiro Neto Advogados (2011-2012).
