Guiping Lu is a partner in the Corporate & Securities practice in Mayer Brown's Hong Kong office. His practice is primarily focused on international debt capital markets transactions. Guiping has advised investment banks and issuers in connection with various types of debt capital markets transactions, including offerings of high yield and investment-grade bonds with different credit enhancement structures (letter of support, keepwell deed, equity interest purchase undertaking, liquidity support, and standby letter of credit), convertible and exchangeable bonds, medium term notes, and various types of liability management transactions (consent solitation, repurchases, exchange offers). Issuers he has represented include both state-owned companies (including PRC local government finance vehicles) and privately held companies in different industries.
Guiping has many years of experience in capital markets practice. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in the capital markets practice group of other leading international firms focusing his practice on international debt and equity offerings and advising on various U.S. securities law matters.
