Brian L. Kuhl is a Banking & Finance partner in Mayer Brown’s Chicago office. Brian represents issuers and underwriters in various domestic and cross-border securitizations and other structured finance transactions.
Brian’s securitization experience includes public and private transactions involving various asset classes, including auto loan and lease receivables, residential and commercial mortgage loans and CLOs. Brian also represents commercial lending institutions, REITs and other corporate borrowers in various structured lending transactions, including repurchase facilities.
During law school, Brian served as a judicial intern for the Chief Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the Honorable Shirley S. Abrahamson. He also served as a Note & Comment Editor for the Wisconsin Law Review. Upon graduation, the University of Wisconsin Law School honored Brian with the Salmon Dalberg Award, an annual award given to “an outstanding member of the graduating class.” Brian joined the firm in 2013.
