Jeremy Clay is Managing Partner of Mayer Brown. A member of the firm’s London Real Estate practice, he has served on Mayer Brown’s Management Committee since 2012.

- Advised British Land plc on their acquisition of a mixed office and retail investment property in Victoria, London and on their acquisition of Grenfell Island, a prime office and leisure scheme in Maidenhead, UK.
- Acted for Unilever in relation to the redevelopment, sale and lease back of its European HQ.
- Advised the Canary Wharf Group on a joint venture with a MSREF Fund to undertake the redevelopment of the 300,000 square foot office development, Drapers Gardens scheme, in the City of London.
- Advised M3 Capital on the takeover as Investment Manager and restructuring of a European Platform (based in Jersey) investing in Central and Eastern European properties.
- Advised Sloane Capital on the purchase and financing of 9 Place Vendôme, Paris at a price in excess of €600m.
- Advised SloaneCap on the forward purchase and leaseback of the Standard Chartered Headquarters’ building developed at 35 Basinghall Street, London EC2 (and then on its subsequent forward sale). Also advised the same client on the forward purchase of the Hilton Hotel at Canary Wharf.
- Advised St Modwen plc on numerous developments including the redevelopment of: Edmonton Green involving the development of over 300,000 sq ft of retail space (including a new Asda superstore), offices, new leisure centre, new health centre, bus station and approximately 170 new flats; Hatfield Town Centre: a complex mixed use scheme covering some 3.3ha (8.1 acres) of land; comprising retail, A3, community facilities and affordable and private sector housing elements; and Bedford Town Centre.
- Advised Bear Stearns on the development and letting of its European Headquarters at Canary Wharf.
