Mayer Brown advises lenders on Bau Bang Water Treatment Plant in Vietnam

Singapore – Mayer Brown has advised the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as lenders on the senior secured long-term loans provided to Thu Dau Mot Water Joint Stock Company (TDM) in relation to the Bau Bang Water Treatment Plant in Vietnam.

The financing will be used for the expansion of the water treatment plant’s daily production capacity by over 50,000 cubic meters, and will address the growing need for reliable and clean water sources in Vietnam, particularly in the Binh Duong and Thu Dau Mot regions which are experiencing economic and population growth.

Ben Thompson, partner lead and head of Projects & Infrastructure (Asia), commented: “We are delighted to have worked again with ADB and JICA on this meaningful project, which will ensure an enhanced water supply for local consumers, as well as potential investors in this strategically important area.
