Tauil & Chequer Advogados advises Weclix Telecom on its first debentures issuance

Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown advised Weclix, a company that provides fiber optic internet, on its first issuance of simple debentures, for R$ 200 million (US$ 38.8 million). The public offering was distributed and placed by Banco Modal (leading coordinator) and Banco BTG Pactual (coordinator). The debentures were issued with the benefits set forth in Art. 2 of Law 12,431/11 (infrastructure debentures) and the net funds obtained with the transaction will be applied in investments in the telecommunications network infrastructure, as per the investment project approved as a priority by the Ministry of Communications.

The team that worked on the deal, and by ministerial order of the Ministry of Communications, was led by the Banking & Finance and Infrastructure partners Luis Montes and Bruno Dario Werneck, as well as associates Maria Isabel Amato and Thatiana Siqueira.
