Mayer Brown partner Aaron Gavant named a 2021 “Emerging Leader” by The M&A Advisor

Mayer Brown announced that Chicago Restructuring partner Aaron Gavant was named a recipient of The M&A Advisor’s 2021 Emerging Leaders Awards, which recognizes achievements and leadership by turnaround, mergers and acquisitions, and financing professionals under the age of 40.

Mr. Gavant maintains a diversified restructuring practice focused on both structured finance workout matters, where he represents major financial institutions in their roles as trustee, servicer, administrative agent and in other related capacities on securitization and other complex transactions, as well as traditional in-court and out-of-court restructuring matters, where he represents asset purchasers, institutional lenders, bank groups, private credit clients and other alternative lending institutions. Mr. Gavant is also a key contributor to the firm’s thought leadership efforts including as a primary editor for the firm’s Real Bankruptcy Intel blog.

M&A Advisor selects Emerging Leaders through an independent committee of turnaround, M&A and financing industry business leaders. Nominees were evaluated on their career accomplishments and professional expertise. Considerations were also given to community service, philanthropic endeavors and any unique circumstances.
