The federal government’s calls for public-private partnership to improve cybersecurity have moved from information sharing to active cyber defense.  In line with the Administration’s strategy of “unleash[ing] the private sector,” August's NSPM calls on DHS and DOJ to implement a program authorizing private companies to leverage government authorities and immunities in tackling transnational criminal hacking organizations.
