On our Vacation Scheme based in London, you will learn what life is like at an international law firm as a trainee. You will meet your potential future colleagues during social activities and skills sessions, and gain experience by assisting lawyers with real deals.

Applications for our 2027 Spring and Summer Vacation Schemes will open on 1 September 2026.
Our trainees gain invaluable experience of how our international law firm operates. From our practice areas and business functions to our infrastructure and culture, you will get an inside perspective on our work. With many opportunities to develop a network and establish professional relationships with our people, we can ensure you receive a practical, fulfilling, and well-rounded internship.
How to Apply

Step 1: Start Your Application
You will be asked for basic personal details, including your education and work experience. Legal experience is not required—we welcome any experience that shows transferable skills. Please review your application carefully before submitting.
Step 2: Immersive Assessment
You will complete an assessment with behavioral, reasoning, and video questions to evaluate your skills, motivation, and potential at Mayer Brown. You must meet benchmark scores to progress, and you will receive feedback after completion. No legal knowledge is required.
Step 3: Assessment Days
If you are successful following the Immersive Assessment, you will be invited to an assessment day where you will take part in a variety of group and individual assessments. Your experience at an assessment day will vary slightly depending on which position you apply for.
Vacation Scheme assessment centers take place in January and February and are held in the London office.
