Prior to joining Mayer Brown in Singapore, Matt was a senior associate at a leading Australian independent law firm.

• Represented the owner of an Australian coal mine in court proceedings against the EPC contractor for claims exceeding A$300 million in relation to the design and construction of a coal handling and processing plant.*
• Represented an Australian contractor in an ICC arbitration seated in Singapore, and related court proceedings, against its joint-venture partner for claims exceeding $1.5 billion in relation to the design, construction and delivery of a near-shore jetty and ship mooring infrastructure for an LNG processing facility.*
• Represented the owner of an Australian coal export terminal in court proceedings against a civil contractor in relation to litigation costs exceeding A$10 million from related court proceedings.*
• Represented a Chinese ultra-class mining truck and metallurgical equipment developer in a CIETAC arbitration seated in Beijing against a global mining company in relation to an equipment trial at an Australian coal mine.*
