Art was Managing Director and Senior Counsel at BlackRock for several years, leading legal coverage of BlackRock’s management of structured finance transactions. Art also covered the Financial Markets Advisory Group, which assists clients with respect to a range of special situations; Art led legal coverage of BlackRock’s work as Investment Manager with respect to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Maiden Lane vehicles, and as administrator/investment manager for the asset-backed commercial paper-based Master Asset Vehicles that were formed as part of the largest court-supervised debt restructuring in Canadian history -- said to be the world’s largest private-sector securitization restructuring to emerge from the Great Financial Crisis.

Art is recognized in Chambers USA as a leading lawyer. Chambers USA quotes a CLO market participant as saying, “Art’s knowledge of the market from a legal and regulatory perspective is vast, and his in-house experience allows him to offer really good perspectives." Another CLO market participant is quoted as saying, “Arthur is super responsive and right in the trenches.”

Art is a leader in his Scarsdale, New York community, particularly in connection with Scarsdale’s world-renowned public schools. Art was elected to and served on Scarsdale’s School Board; is Resolution Chair of Scarsdale’s School Board Nominating Committee; is Chair of the Coalition for Scarsdale Schools, a non-profit organization supporting the school district that Art founded in 2011; and is Co-Chair of the Education Committee of the Scarsdale Forum, a civic organization that is more than a century old.
