Mayer Brown advises Unilever on acquisition of Dr. Squatch

June 24, 2025 – Mayer Brown is advising longstanding client Unilever on its acquisition of men’s personal care brand Dr. Squatch from growth equity firm Summit Partners. 

Known for its natural, high-performance personal care products, including natural soaps and other men’s grooming products, Dr. Squatch is a complementary acquisition for Unilever’s Personal Care portfolio. The transaction is expected to close later this year, subject to customary regulatory approvals.

The Mayer Brown team was led by M&A partner Jennifer Keating and associates Thomas Wu, Bradley Kaplan, and Katherine Hsu in the firm’s Northern California and Chicago offices.
