Mayer Brown expands its Northern California corporate practice with addition of M&A/EC-VC partner Samuel Dibble in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO – Mayer Brown announced today that Samuel Dibble has joined its expanding San Francisco office as a partner in the Corporate & Securities practice. His arrival further enhances the firm’s M&A and emerging company/venture capital capabilities. Sam joins Mayer Brown from Baker Botts LLP.

“Sam is a highly connected deal lawyer whose client-first approach and breadth across M&A and financing transactions align with our strategic focus on sophisticated transactional work,” said William Kucera, co-leader of Mayer Brown’s global M&A practice. “His arrival strengthens our corporate platform and accelerates momentum in Northern California.”

Sam brings extensive experience advising public and private companies, investment funds, and entrepreneurs on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and capital markets financings, along with ongoing corporate governance and outside general counsel matters. His practice spans M&A, joint ventures, equity and debt financings, and ongoing corporate advisory work. He has considerable experience in industries such as food and beverage, alternative energy, wine, and emerging sectors like blockchain and crypto.

His addition adds major bench strength to Mayer Brown’s prominent global M&A practice which achieved a record-setting year in 2025. The firm worked on 312 deals with an aggregate value of nearly $159 billion including 38 transactions of $1 billion or more.
