Chris Harvey Appointed Managing Partner of Mayer Brown's London Office
London – Mayer Brown is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Harvey as Managing Partner of its London office, effective 1st October, 2026. Chris succeeds Dominic Griffiths who, having held the position since 2022, will focus on his new leadership role as a member of the firm’s global Management Committee.
Chris is a partner in Mayer Brown’s market-leading Real Estate practice and co-leader of the firm’s global Real Estate group. He has extensive experience acting for investors, funds, property companies, banks and developers on investment, development and finance transactions, with a particular focus on Private Equity and Asian, US and European investors investing into the UK real estate market. He is widely recognised for his work on major London investment and development transactions, including leading on the acquisition of the “Walkie Talkie”, the UK’s largest-ever office complex property transaction.

Chris joined Mayer Brown in 2012 and has built a leading real estate practice advising on high-value, cross-border transactions across the UK and international markets. In addition to his client work, Chris will oversee the strategic direction and operations of the London office, supporting the continued development of the firm’s talent, client relationships and cross-border platform.

The appointment comes after a landmark period for Mayer Brown in London. In 2025, the office celebrated its 130th anniversary in the City of London and reported record revenue growth of 20.5% on the prior year, driven by continued collaboration across the firm’s global network and targeted strategic investment, in response to client demand for expanded private capital capabilities and increased product and industry specialisation.
