Tauil & Chequer Advogados expands Corporate Governance practice with the arrival of specialist André Camargo
Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown has announced its latest strategic hire to strengthen its Corporate Governance practice, which already includes experienced partners Carlos Motta and Daniella Raigorodsky Monteiro. André Camargo is the current president of the Brazilian Institute of Business Law (IBRADEMP) and has an established curriculum with 23 years of experience as a lawyer in these areas.
Over two decades, André has been actively assisting national and foreign clients and, in the academic field, his vast career is marked by passages within renowned educational institutions, with an LL.M. in Corporate Law and Contract Law from the University of California, a Ph.D. in Commercial Law from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a post-doctorate from the University of St. Gallen. André also coordinated Insper Direito for 16 years and, as a professor, has taught at several institutions in the areas of business law, corporate governance, M&A and business ethics, notably at Insper, Saint Paul, IBGC, Mackenzie, Ibmec and FIA. He is also a visiting professor at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

He has also been recognized by renowned legal guides and awards: Band 1 in ESG in the Chambers Brazil 2022 guide; winner of the Leaders League Awards (Brazil's Legal Summit) in the 2022 ESG category; and has also been recognized by the legal directories Latin Lawyer 250 and Análise Advocacia 500.
