Kristin Silverman defends companies across a broad range of complex disputes, with a focus on consumer class actions and mass tort litigation. Many of her clients in these matters are leading technology companies. Kristin has represented technology companies in connection with issues related to digital advertising, search tools, social media, gaming, and devices.
In her class action defense practice, Kristin has handled consumer protection, privacy, contractual, and employment claims, including claims under the California Unfair Competition Law (UCL), Stored Communications Act (SCA), federal Wiretap Act (ECPA), Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), and various consumer protection laws. In recent cases, Kristin has defended clients against claims related to alleged misrepresentations to digital advertisers and alleged privacy violations stemming from search queries and use of in-app browsers.
