Paulo Rage is a Partner of Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown in the Rio de Janeiro office and member of the Corporate and M&A; International Tax; and, Africa and Latin America practice groups.

Paulo has LL.B./J.D., LL.M. and Ph.D. (cand.) degrees in Law and has significant practical experience in complex cross-border projects and M&As.. He has broad project development skills, since the planning and structuring phase (finance, tax, corporate, regulatory and labor planning) through implementation and divestment phases, mainly in the sectors of: energy (oil & gas, power and hydrogen); infrastructure (construction & engineering); mining; and, industrial (pharmaceutical and agroindustrial). He has a prominent practice with projects in emerging LATAM (Latin America) and MEA (Middle East and Africa) markets, especially Sub-Saharan and Lusophone Africa (Angola, Mozambique and STP).   • Advised Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos E.P. in relation to the planning, structuring and negotiation of its subsidiary ENH Energy Trading Pte. Ltd., based on Singapore.
