The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a significant increase in the number of new whistleblower complaints. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently reported a 35% surge in complaints as compared to the mid-March to mid-May period last year, according to Reuters. As companies respond to this uptick in complaints, they should consider how best to refine and refocus their compliance programs and investigations functions to encourage and protect whistleblowers in a work-from-home environment and remediate problems that may arise during an economic downturn.
Join us for the “Whistleblowers: Best Compliance and Investigations Practices During and After the Pandemic” webinar, which will arm legal and compliance departments with practical guidance—taking into account key ethical considerations—to:
- Manage the surge of whistleblower allegations in the COVID era
- Address the COVID-specific issues we have seen whistleblowers raising
- Strengthen their whistleblower compliance practices to ensure best practices now and in the future
