APCIA's Annual Western Region General Counsel Conference

Mayer Brown lawyers participated in the Annual Western Region General Counsel Virtual Conference of the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA). This series of online sessions provided the latest updates on a host of issues relevant to the legal community, focusing on the tectonic shifts generated by COVID-19, including employment issues.

Mayer Brown partners Kara Baysinger and Archis Parasharami and counsel Doug Smith spoke on the “What COVID-19 Means for the Industry” panel. They were joined by Deputy Commissioner of the California Department of Insurance, Ken Allen. The panel covered various areas of interest related to the coronavirus, as well as implications under commercial property, event cancellation, travel coverages, general liability, errors & omissions and directors & officer’s insurance.
