Richard Ziegler represents and advises financial institutions, corporations and other business enterprises in matters involving bankruptcy, out-of-court workouts, corporate restructurings and liquidations. He has represented clients in a variety of insolvency situations involving airlines, telecommunications providers, retailers, distressed real estate and mass tort-related bankruptcies. In these matters, he has represented clients in a variety of roles, including as secured lenders, unsecured creditors, purchasers of assets out of bankruptcy and as defendants in debtor or trustee litigation. He also advises on bankruptcy issues for a range of parties to securitization and other structured finance transactions.
Richard practiced with prominent firms in Detroit and Chicago before joining Mayer Brown in 1993.
