Overview
Oliver Williams advises a range of financial institutions, including banks, insurers and private funds, and their senior managers on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious UK and EU financial services regulatory matters. He has experience in domestic and cross-border transactions, and regulatory engagement with the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.

Non-contentious regulatory advice
- Advised pension schemes, funds, insurers, payment services providers and others on the UK regulatory perimeter, covering regulated activities, financial promotions, investment recommendations, investment research and the consumer duty.
- Advised on the regulatory implications of deposit aggregation structures.
- Conducted AML reviews / registrations and advised on the MLRs.
- Supported with fund formations, mergers, changes in control and terminations for UCITS and NURS OEICs (umbrella and single funds) and AUTs.
- Carried out fund reviews in respect of both regulated and private funds.
