Overview
Wei Wei is a senior associate in the Global Energy group of the London office. She has a wide range of experience advising international energy clients in the oil and gas, energy and infrastructure sectors. She has particular experience advising IOCs and NOCs on long-term LNG sales arrangements, joint ventures and M&A activities in the sector.
Wei Wei also has renewable experience, working with clients across China and Europe.

- Advised PetroChina Investment (Hong Kong) Limited as the lead CNPC consortium member in relation to all aspects of CNPC’s participation in the North Field East project in Qatar, including its acquisition of a 5% equity stake in the production train at Qatar’s North Field East expansion project.*
- Advised PetroChina International (London) Co., Limited on its agency agreement in respect of Yamal LNG cargoes.*
- Advised a project developer on its LNG export project, including drafting term sheet and long-term sale and purchase agreements with European buyers.*
- Advised a project developer on its various FOB long-term LNG SPAs with multiple buyers in the Gulf of Mexico, US.*
- Advised a trading company on the prepayment financing of the gas offtake arrangements with EG LNG.*
Oil & Gas
- Advised Total S.A on its acquisition of Anadarko’s 26.5% operated interest in the Mozambique LNG project for a purchase price of US$3.9 billion.*
- Advised PetroChina International (London) Ltd on its successful joint venture arrangements in relation to refinery facilities in the UK, including the negotiation of the commercial contracts and loan agreements.*
- Advised PT Pertamina (Persero) on the project development and project financing of the Tuban grass root refinery in Indonesia.*
- Advised a supermajor on its proposed joint venture with a European utility in the UK.*
- Advised an international oil and gas company on the restructuring of its joint venture arrangements in the North Sea and on the decommissioning of its interest in the associated offshore platform and pipeline.*
- Advised a NOC on various funding and restructuring options in relation to joint venture arrangements with a petrochemical company.*
- Advised a supermajor on the proposed restructuring of its midstream infrastructure assets in Europe and their potential disposal.*
- Advised a NOC on the proposed farm-in and joint development with ENH of the largest onshore gas block in Mozambique.*
- Advised a NOC on its proposed farm-in of a majority interest in three blocks in East Africa.*
- Advised a NOC on its proposed acquisition of a 40% interest in the Sangomar field in Senegal.*
- Advised a NOC on its proposed acquisition of a minority participating interest in two PSCs in Nigeria.*
Power and renewables
- Advised a Chinese power SOE on its successful conclusion of a strategic MoU with Equinor and Shell in relation to a joint offshore wind project in China and Europe.*
- Advised Tenaga Nasional Berhad on its acquisition and refinancing of an 80% shareholding in two UK renewable companies, which together own the largest FiT-accredited portfolio of onshore UK wind farms, comprising 53 operational medium-sized wind turbines with a total capacity of 26.1 MW.*
- Advised Macquarie on the financing and refinancing of 22 solar PV and onshore and offshore wind projects in the UK.*
- Advised NNB Generation Limited on its proposed development of new nuclear projects in the UK, including the £18 billion Hinkley Point C project.*
