Overview
Stephanie Vasconcellos is a partner in the Employment & Benefits practice in Chicago, where she counsels clients regarding employee benefits and executive compensation issues that arise in corporate transactions involving public and private companies. She advises public and private companies on day-to-day executive compensation matters, including assisting clients with implementing, amending and terminating equity compensation plans and agreements, employment and severance agreements, and nonqualified deferred compensation plans, and advising on the application of Code Sections 409A, 162(m), and 280G. Stephanie also counsels clients on a variety of regulatory matters with a particular focus on health and welfare plans, including compliance with the Affordable Care Act, COBRA and HIPAA.
Stephanie has been recognized by Legal 500 US as a Next Generation Partner (2020) in Employee Benefits, Executive Compensation and Retirements: Transactional, and as a Rising Star in Employee Benefits by Super Lawyer (2014-2020).
