Overview
Charles Turner is an associate in Mayer Brown’s Los Angeles office and a member of the Public Policy, Regulatory & Government Affairs practice. In addition to supporting the Land Use Practice Group on land use entitlement and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance matters, he also advises the Firm on campaign finance and lobbying disclosure compliance.
Charles graduated from Howard University School of Law with cum laude honors and a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution. Prior to law school, he completed the prestigious Coro Southern California – Public Affairs Fellowship; served as an economic development deputy at the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors; and held membership in several community-based organizations such as Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC).
